1:04AM

Hello. :) It’s been a while since anyone’s posted, so I don’t know if anyone’s still reading the community or not, but I figured this is my best shot, so I might as well give it a go, haha.

I haven’t been listening to Carfax Abbey for very long, but I fell madly and passionately in love with them very fast; I would say that, if they aren’t my absolute favorite band, then they’re definitely tied in first place. Unfortunately, my love for them seems to have come a bit too late. I have every song off both Second Skin and It Screams Disease (as well as a few others; I’ll list them all at the end), but finding the rest of their stuff is proving incredibly difficult (if not impossible). I’m running out of places to look and getting extremely frustrated. I love them so very much, I haven’t heard a single song by them that I remotely dislike, and I’m desperate for a “complete set,” so to speak.

So, what I’m asking is this: would anyone be willing to send me any of their material that I don’t have, or at least point me in the right direction to obtain it myself? Even if one person is willing to send me one song (or show me where I can purchase/download it), I would be eternally grateful. I’m willing to do whatever I can to show my gratitude (a “song exchange”—if I have something you don’t have, I’m more than willing to share it—or a plate of e-cookies, anything), and even if no one can help me out, thank you for at least reading my desperate little plea here.

All the songs I do have are listed under the cut.

I’m sorry this is so long (and if this kind of post isn’t allowed), but thank you all sooooooooo very much in advance. :)

3:15PM - Scandal! Carfax Abbey guitarist defects?

This shocking photo seems to have tongues wagging all over Philadelphia. Is it true? Has Carfax Abbey guitarist/programmer John jumped ship just a day after his band unveiled many of the songs from their upcoming 2006 album at a Philadelphia concert? Details are still a bit sketchy, but the following photo taken at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire on Sunday seems to tell a story. Is it possible that the promise of mulled wine, abundant turkey legs and women in corsets may have seduced John away from Carfax Abbey to join one of those crazy medieval music bands? Is John moonlighting in another band? Or does he have a doppleganger? To learn the truth (unless, of course, you can't handle the truth!) you'll have to take a look at this photo diary to learn more...

5:24PM - Carfax Abbey at Goth Stock in CT, New Orleans and an exciting show in Philly!

It has been extremely busy in the CFX camp lately. The new disc, tentively titled "Memento Mori" is coming along smoothly. For our Philly area friends and fans we're doing a special Halloween show on Oct. 15th at Whiskey Dix. For this show only Carfax Abbey will be playing brand new, never heard before songs from their forthcoming release due out on Dancing Ferret records sometime in the near future. This will be the one and only time they play these songs live until the actual release. This is SURE to be a great time!

In the meantime CFX will be at Goth Stock in Hartford, CT (Webster Theatre 31 Webster Street, Hartford) on Sept. 24th. Stage time: 6:30pm.

We've just confirmed that we'll be playing at Endless Night Festival over Halloween weekend in New Orleans. Check out www.endlessnight.com for more information.

Of course, check www.carfaxabbey.com for updates on all these shows and more. If you're on myspace look for us at www.myspace.com/carfaxabbey

Dont go to tribecca this weekend for J.D.C.

Due to forseen circumstances we are no longer at Tribecca night club.
as a matter of fact.  We are NOT looking for a new venue either.

I was informed that Tribecca is possibly closing down (again).
which is more than likely a load of crap, but oh well.
no one liked Tribecca anyway, and it showed.
we contemplated from the begining finding another venue,
but i've decided against it.

so as for now we will not be holding any weekly clubnights.
not to say that if i get a sweet offer, that it wont change.

but as for now, the 13th child entertainment is
going back in time.
we will only be hosting special events/ possibly monthlys
all being called JOHN'S DARK CORNER starting in august of 2005

6 years is a long time, to do every saturday.
so now its time for a change of pace.
we started the company only hosting special events
so why not go back to that for awhile.

many appologies to our loyal following
through out the years you have been wonderful.
